Become a part of our Strategic Business Development team in the Water Division
Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and services and focus massively on development and production of intelligent metering systems and solutions for energy and water.
We want to create even further value for our customers and are therefore looking for a new Strategic Business Developer to lead the digital journey within our water business. You will be responsible for developing a strategic direction which will serve as the foundation for our solutions-based product portfolio. In other words, you will create the vision for how we can support our customers in a world trending towards Software-as-a-Service offerings.
With direct reference to our Head of Strategic Business Development, which is a part of our Product and Commercial Management function. You will join a dedicated team with focus on developing Kamstrup’s global water business in a 5-year horizon based on deep market understanding and customer insights. You will maintain a holistic overview across our business and be the front runner in developing our overall strategic direction, as well as ensuring buy-in throughout our organization.
Visionary and go-do personality with the ability to envision a digitized future
In the position as Strategic Business Developer you will be responsible for the future strategic direction for a holistic solutions-based approach in our water business. You will have a great impact on Kamstrup’s future business models and product offerings to optimize the value we create for our customers. You will work in close collaboration with customers, Commercial Product Managers, external partners, R&D and Water Division Management.
More specifically, your primary responsibilities will be:
In the job, you can expect around 20-30 travel days per year. If you are not located in Denmark, you must be able to travel to our headquarters several times per year.
Personality matters
You may already possess knowledge about the water business but, more importantly, you are ambitious and willing to learn. We expect you to be curious and that you have a profound interest in how our customers perceive value. It is also necessary that you have a strong drive towards seeing how your ideas play out in a real world setting. You need to have excellent stakeholder- and project management skills, externally as well as internally.
In addition, it is a requirement that you:
You are fluent in English both written and oral. Danish language is an asset, but not a requirement.

- Setting the strategic direction for our long-term digital transformation aspirations and servitization journey
- Acting as change manager on many levels, driving the changes within our organization
- Experimenting with financial modelling and new business models
- Working in close collaboration with key stakeholders to strengthen a solution-based mindset in Kamstrup
- Leading early exploratory phases of value-based innovation projects towards our digitalization goals
- Creating and maintaining an overview of the digital eco-systems that surround our customers
- Working with external partners that can help us on our journey

- Have a minimum of 4 years of relevant full time work experience
- Have experience from an international setting in a technology based company
- Are experienced with SaaS/DaaS offerings and possess a deep business model understanding
- Have proven success building and implementing long term strategies
- Are comfortable communicating on all levels of an organization
- Understand how product portfolio management works on a high level
You are fluent in English both written and oral. Danish language is an asset, but not a requirement.
