The position As one of the Directors of Clinical Operations, in the area of Obesity, Liver Diseases& Devices you will lead and develop an engaged and skilled team of Clinical Project and Operations Leaders, Global Trial Managers, and Global Clinical Trial Administrators responsible for planning and conducting clinical trials from phase 2-4. You will be responsible for:
  • Global coordination of several clinical trials within one or more development programmes.
  • Representing Clinical Operations in Global Project Teams and being accountable for accomplishing clinical trials through sound operational strategy.
  • Planning and allocation of the needed resources for a given trial within the clinical programme.
  • As line manager, ensure competency development and performance management by coaching and guiding your team members, setting expectations, and leading the team to success.
  • Lead the implementation of the Clinical Drug Development strategy, proactively ensure relevant change management activities, and role model the Novo Nordisk Way.
  • This is a unique opportunity to make an impact in a large, global development organisation. You can expect some travelling for meetings. Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science.
  • Strong experience and thorough understanding of the operational aspects of planning and conducting global clinical trials gained from roles in clinical development within the pharma or biotech industry.
  • Previous experience with line management ideally combined with project leadership and the ability to inspire and motivate a team using an organized and structured approach.
  • Background with cross-organisational and global work to collaborate in a project-driven matrix organisation.
  • Innovative mindset, digital curiosity, and change management skills to navigate organisational transformations.
  • Proficient written and oral English.

About the department Working with trial management in the Obesity, Liver Diseases & Devices Clinical Operations project area, you will join a collaborative and dedicated team on a mission to create better treatments, care and innovation for patients with Obesity. Here, you will help us deliver innovative products and driving improved patient outcomes as you take on the overall responsibility for the planning and execution of global clinical trials in Phases 2-4. You will also play an active role in improvement projects across the organisation.
