Are you passionate about clinical pharmacology and developing people? We are looking for a Director with an ambitious and curious mindset – who will lead a dedicated team of Clinical Pharmacology Specialists in Medical & Science Diabetes. You will drive the performance and development of the people in your team, and master complex clinical development strategies and activities by using your scientific and drug development expertise. You will be working with highly talented colleagues, all striving passionately to create better treatments and care for patients living with Diabetes. The position As the Director, your will lead one of the Medical & Science Clinical Pharmacology departments within the Diabetes project area of Clinical Drug Development. This requires hands-on involvement in devising Clinical Pharmacology strategies, crafting development plans encompassing high-level study designs, and facilitating regulatory interactions, all while maintaining a portfolio-oriented approach. Your team comprises adept and seasoned Clinical Pharmacology specialists and Scientific Directors. Integrated within the Medical Specialist department, they bear the responsibility of spearheading clinical pharmacology trials and programs. Additionally, they provide crucial input for the clinical pharmacology strategy for Medical & Science Diabetes, spanning diverse stages of development from phase 1 to 3. Together with your team, you will interact with Health Authorities and be responsible for clinical pharmacology summaries, for the clinical pharmacology parts of a submission dossier, and provide clinical pharmacology input to secure approvals of new drugs. Our company offers flexible work arrangements, including the option to work remotely, such as two days a week from home. Expectations include engaging in travel activities, averaging 4-6 trips annually, each spanning a few days. Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have a M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, preferably complemented by a Ph.D. and the following qualifications: Demonstrated leadership skills. Highly motivated and skilled in making people succeed and develop. A strong scientific mindset and expertise in Clinical Pharmacology. Experience in designing and planning clinical trials. Experience with health authority interactions. Proficiency in both written and spoken English. On a personal level, you are a team player who inspires trust, openness, and creativity in your team and among stakeholders. You focus on solutions, identifying criticality and enabling decisions. You communicate openly and effectively and encourage critical thinking, initiative, and innovation. About the department In Medical & Science we cover projects from first in human dose until a product goes of the market. We are a strong team of +60 specialists working dedicated to improving the lives of people living with diabetes. We work project centric in teams of medical specialists and clinical pharmacology specialists. Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role in the development of new drugs at Novo Nordisk.
