The Position As Principal Clinical Pharmacology Specialist, you will drive clinical pharmacology programmes and trials supporting early and to late-stage development projects. Additionally, work closely with medical specialists, pharmacometricians and other scientists, and apply your expertise and leadership skills to contribute to the strategy of the clinical development program. We focus on new innovative technologies across pharmacological modalities such as RNA interference, small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, proteins, and peptides within therapeutic areas like cardiovascular and renal diseases as well as neurodegenerative disorders. Your key responsibilities: Be scientifically accountable for clinical pharmacology trial designs, protocols, oversight as well as interpretation and reporting of trial results Interact with Health Authorities and be responsible for clinical pharmacology summaries for the clinical pharmacology parts of a submission dossier and provide clinical pharmacology input to secure approvals of new drugs Drive and coordinate activities in the headquarters study group, collaborate with our affiliates and external partners involved in the management of our clinical trials, and interact with many internal and external global stakeholders Lead cross-functional project teams and represent Clinical Pharmacology in global project teams Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: Master’s degree in Life Sciences, complemented by a Ph.D. Strong scientific mindset combined with at least 2+ years’ experience in clinical pharmacology in drug development within pharma or biotech industry Knowledge and experience in the use of applied Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic (PKPD) modelling Proven track record with health authorities' interactions Experience in planning and conducting clinical trials would be a great asset Experience in working in cross-functional teams in a global and dynamic environment Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. About the Department The Clinical Pharmacology department is responsible for development projects within Cardiovascular, Kidney & Alzheimer’s Disease. We are building a department of dedicated and highly engaged colleagues working in a flexible, collaborative, and cross-functional setting. Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role in the development of new drugs at Novo Nordisk. We work as an integrated part of development and research project teams, being responsible for the clinical pharmacology strategy. We are scientifically responsible for the planning and oversight of Clinical Pharmacology trials. We provide clinical pharmacology expertise to all clinical development phases, Health Authority interactions and regulatory submissions worldwide.
