If your core competence is Medical Device development and you have interest in using that to develop and implement new standards for design controls, here is an opportunity to unfold all of your skills in a job with extraordinary influence and impact. As part of LEO Pharma’s quest for becoming the world’s preferred dermatology care partner we want to develop new, innovative medical devices in close collaboration with external partners. We have a good basic foundation and exciting projects in our pipeline, but we need you to help us take the next leap forward.
Development projects
Your overall focus is to contribute to the development of injectable treatments with user friendly and differentiated injection solutions based on thorough user and stakeholder understanding. As Principal Scientist you will act as spear head and set the future standards for design control within the device area in LEO.

Experience and motivation for teamwork and knowledge sharing
We are looking for a profile with drive and motivation for taking lead – with an additional open minded and positive approach that supports knowledge sharing and teamwork. You will enjoy taking part in building the technical and Design Control framework for LEO Pharma within Drug Device Combination products. You must be able to communicate clearly and based on facts. As part of this you can define “Why, What and How” in a way that makes sense to colleagues, partners and not least authorities.

Injection Devices – your new team
You will join a team of skilled colleagues in Injection Devices based at LEO Pharma’s HQ in Ballerup. Our responsibility covers product solutions across medical devices, drug-device combination products and device constituent parts from early ideation to market launch.
The ambition is to grow as LEO Pharma is developing and expanding the presence in the injectable biologics area. We see the sky as the limit, and we are basically ready to go wherever our opportunities might take us.

- Act as design control lead in development projects
- Set the direction for design controls as the primary expert within the field in LEO Pharma
- Act as design control specialist during audits
- Ensure compliance to relevant regulatory requirements
- Ensure documentation compliance

You have:
- A university degree in Engineering or related
- 8+ years’ experience within medical device technology and establishing consistent design controls documentation according to FDA and EMA requirements
- Project management/coordination experience
- Experience with drug-device combination products
