Then this newly created and exciting role as Deep Learning Engineer might be the right opportunity for you.

Right now, we are looking for an engineer for our Technology Research and Image Processing team who can participate in shaping the future success of Ambu’s AI offering.

Deep Learning application in endoscopy

In this newly establish position, you will participate in driving and implementing new AI processing activities and secure development and continuous improvements of the AI processing capabilities of Ambu products. Additionally, you will act as our technology partners in future projects.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • develop and evolve CCN for Deep Learning application in endoscopy
  • participate in identifying requirements, to talk and understand the end user needs
  • implement, test and improve the CCN as learnings progress
  • document findings and solutions


  • You will work closely with the Technology Research and Image Processing team and our development partner. You will coordinate closely with our hardware function and our customers.

    Algorithm development and deep learning over videos and images

    To succeed in this role you have more than three years of experience in algorithm development and more than two years of experience in R&D of deep learning over videos and images. This has given you knowledge and experience with the cutting-edge detection and segmentation networks. You have good research skills and are also highly skilled in Matlab programming for Computer Vision, C++, OpenCV or Python.

    It will be an advantage if you also have experience in conventional computer vision algorithm, medical device or medical imaging environment.

    We imagine that you have a master’s degree from an established academic institute in computer science, electrical engineering or bio-medicine.

    As a person you are highly motivated, enthusiastic and think out-of-the-box. You have a strong sense of detail with a proactive and flexible mind-set combined with the ability to plan, execute and meet deadlines. It is natural for you to use methods and tooling for a structured approach. You manage to focus, prioritize and document the result of analysis and test in technical reports.

    As you will be working with external development partners worldwide, it is of great importance that you have excellent leadership skills and interpersonal skills, including multicultural awareness and sensitivity, ideally within Asian culture.

    It is essential that you have excellent communication and English skills, both written and oral, and that you are willing to travel approximately 20 days per year.
