Job description
The job concerns conducting research on the project PhageWarn, financed by the Danish Dairy Research Council. The project will develop mathematical models for lactic acid bacteria bacteriophage development in dairy fermentations based on studies of interactions of phage and starter cultures. These interactions are analysed using changes in pH, changes in phage composition and changes in starter culture composition using metavirome sequencing, amplicon sequencing, as well as qPCR. Development of fast metavirome DNA isolation protocols, and analysis, as well as development of qPCR assays are also included. Reporting and presentation of results to financing body is also included. Applicants with previous experience on phage-host interactions will be preferred.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
The starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 352.752 including annual supplement (+ 17.1 % pension) Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
