The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) is establishing a talented and diverse international team to create a cutting-edge quantum programme in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. At the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, where the formulation of Quantum Mechanics was born 100 years ago, we aim to establish an international quantum computing programme, generously funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, that will drive research and innovations at multiple levels - from developing scalable quantum processor technologies to solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications. The long-term mission of the programme is todevelop fault-tolerant quantum computing hardware and quantum algorithms that solve life-science-relevant chemical and biological problems.
NQCP is looking for an assistant professor in Quantum Materials Characterization with a proven track record in Electron Microscopy methods to join our versatile characterization team. You will be in charge of our electron microscopy tools which include modern, state-of-the-art SEM and FIB/SEM and you will have local access to a TEM: ‘Thermo Scientific F200i’.
With these tools you will develop, run and automize characterization protocols for our novel materials, with the aim of standardizing methods for reliable and precise extraction of relevant metrics. This will be done in close collaboration with the growth, fabrication, and theory & simulation teams as well as various international partners from industry and academia.
As assistant professor you will apply for funding and build a team to help developing and maintaining the characterization flow.
