Job description
The postdoc position, “Rewilded Bodies in Danish National Parks”, is a fixed termed full-time position of two years and two months with research obligations starting January 1, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The research will be conducted as part of as part of the research project CARNAL: Eco-Ethical Articulations of Body, Meat, and Flesh. More information about the project is available here https://veluxfoundations.dk/da/kernegruppebevillinger-2023
The central objective of the research project is to develop new conceptualizations of the relation between humanity and nature in times of ecological crises. CARNAL expands the ethical tradition of self-care and care for other humans into an ecologized ethics of care. We focus on everyday dilemmas and options for change in the areas of consumption, biodiversity, and conceptions of everyday human interactions with the corporeality of ecological networks. CARNAL is placed at the Faculty of Theology, and its methodology aims to coordinate the fields of Anthropology and Theology.
Taking the project framework into consideration, applicants are required to outline their reflections on how to study contemporary rewilding and biodiversity practices in national parks in Denmark as sites for the negotiation and articulation of ecologized care. Candidates are expected to have a background in Anthropology with documented competencies in long-term ethnographic fieldwork and environmental research.
The candidate must be fluent in speech and writing in one of the Scandinavian languages.

Qualification requirements
The successful applicant must document having conducted high level research and hold a relevant Phd degree in anthropology. In connection with the overall assessment of the individual applicant, emphasis will be placed on the applicant's research profile and teaching portfolio.

Terms of employment
Terms of appointment and salary will be in accordance with an agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The salary range starts at app. DKK 31.600 + a 17,1 % contribution to the pension scheme. It is possible to negotiate salary supplements on an annual basis.
