SDU Global Sustainable Production at the Department of Innovation and Technology, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), invites applications for one or more positions as Assistant/Associate Professors in global sustainable production where sustainability refers to both social and environmental aspects.
The Assistant/Associate Professors will be part the development of the newly established section SDU Global Sustainable Production. They are expected to contribute to develop and implement the strategy and practice of the new section (https://www.SDU.dk/en/forskning/SDUglobalsustainableproduction) and to develop research activities and educations related to global sustainable production, operations management and the Bachelor of Engineering in Global Management and Manufacturing. The section has numerous projects on social sustainability with a focus on occupational safety and health and knowledge in this field is a plus.
Place of work is the SDU campus in Odense, Denmark. The starting date for the positions is 1. September 2021.
The section emphasizes a good work-life balance for all employees.
Extensive travelling to developing countries may be needed due to the nature of the section's research projects.
QualificationsRelevant candidates have strong scientific track records, are internationally recognised for significant scientific contributions, are excellent educators, have demonstrated ability to contribute to building and nurturing strong scientific teams and have experience in attracting competitive funding.
Applicants without a strong engineering profile will not be taken into considerations
