Manager, Hardware Quality - Demant, Global Quality

Be an essential quality partner of our R&D Hardware projects
As manager for our HW Quality team you will be joining the global Quality department of Demant consisting of 240 colleagues located in Denmark and Poland. You will be taking on a very important role being our quality partner tapping into our R&D hardware projects ensuring the highest quality and reliability. Let´s look at some of your responsibilities:
- People management, area strategy and development for the HW Quality team
- Quality management activities in HW development projects and relevant manufacturing processes
- Quality, compliance and usability risk assessments for HW development projects
- Involvement of stakeholders in Quality and other functions, when relevant
You will be working at our headquarter in Smørum – just outside Copenhagen, Denmark and you will be reporting to the Senior Director of the Product Quality department which consists of 40 people.
Join the Product Quality department
Joining us as our new Manager, HW Quality you will be part of a great management team of five managers in the Product Quality department. Your pears will be the manager of Software Quality, manager of Materials & Chemistry, manager of Product Reliability Engineering, and the Explorative Test team lead.
As manager of the team, you have the responsibility of ensuring that the HW of the products we develop and manufactures have the agreed level of quality, is compliant and will not lead to usability issues (functionality issues).
Your team consists of:
- Product Quality Managers who have the responsibility of managing quality activities in hardware development projects; e.g. planning of reliability tests, team coordination and compliance risk assessment.
- Quality Engineers who have the responsibility of managing quality activities related to microelectronics & assembly processes; e.g. planning and execution of reliability test on component and assembly level, root cause analysis, statistics and risk assessment.
- One Requirement Manager who has the responsibility of managing activities related to establishing and maintaining the product and HW requirements, being a system specialist, a representative for requirement and test management and activities related to continuous improvements.

In order to be a success in your new job we expect you to have a good level of understanding in the areas of:
• Reliability engineering
• Mechanical Design of electromechanical devices
• Electronics / microelectronics / ICs
• Manufacturing methods
• Materials/chemistry
• Regulations in industries (e.g MDR).
