Danfoss Drives is looking for a Functional Safety Hardware Engineer to the further development of their product range. Position is located in Graasten, Denmark. converters.
The team is working in co-located cross-functional Product Development teams applying Agile principles. You will work in close cooperation with colleges from Development, Compliance, Product Management and Supply Chain.
Job Responsibilities
As a Functional Safety Hardware Engineer your responsibility will be to take part in and ensure the development of innovative, cost effective and compliant electrical/electronic functional safety solutions.
More specially, you will:
- Focus will be on the electrical/electronic implementation of functional safety functions and you work is in very close cooperation with power/control electronics- and compliance engineer colleagues.
Background and skills
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or similar and at least some years of experience in electrical/electronic engineering. Preferable you also have functional safety experience including working with 3rd part assessors and IEC 61508/IEC 61800-5-2 or ISO 26262.

- Participate in product development – all aspects of product lifecycle from early safety requirement specification, detailed design specifications, design, implementation, verification test, validation test support and release to hand over to supply chain
- Focus will be on the electrical/electronic implementation of functional safety functions and you work is in very close cooperation with power/control electronics- and compliance engineer colleagues.
- Take part in efficient and structured S-FMEA, FTA and FMEDA to ensure that our products timely meet the high expectations of their customers.
Background and skills
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or similar and at least some years of experience in electrical/electronic engineering. Preferable you also have functional safety experience including working with 3rd part assessors and IEC 61508/IEC 61800-5-2 or ISO 26262.

- have a structured work mode approach, and the ability to balance analytical- and action-oriented mindset focusing both on compliance and progress/finalization
- are a team player and can build relations and cooperate across borders and cultures
- have a positive and can-do mindset
- have a robust personality and remains focused when facing technical challenges
- follow your tasks from idea to final implementation and documentation.
Last but least, you have solid communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
