Trusted advisor for the Commercial function in the Nordics
As Nordic Senior HR Business Partner, you will join Santander Consumer Bank’s HR organisation with 18 dedicated resources spread across the region. You will be part of a team of 7 HR business partners, each responsible for one or more functions, and your area of responsibility will be the Nordic Commercial function. Your primary task will be to provide the CCO and his leaders with broad HR advisory and support on both a strategic and operational level, with the aim of ensuring good leadership and employee well-being. In addition to partnering with a particular business area, you will have another important task – to independently lead the development and implementation of a cross-functional workstream regarding HR process improvement at a Nordic level.
More specifically, you will be responsible for the following:
- Strategy – support leaders in the execution of their people strategy, contributing with a solid business understanding
- Change management – contribute to change processes and support the HR agenda
- Service and coaching – support leaders and employees in all HR-related matters, including labour law, wage regulation, strategic personnel planning, recruitment, employee satisfaction
- Development – contribute to developing cross-Nordic concepts, processes and tools and ensure they are successfully applied
This role will be based at Santander Consumer Bank’s offices in Hvidovre, Denmark. As it is a Nordic role, some travel activity will be expected.

We are searching for a senior profile, in terms of approach and maturity, who can drive an ambitious HR strategy across the Nordic markets. As a strong relationship builder, you proactively collaborate with multiple stakeholders to establish the best platform for people and organisational development. To succeed in this role, you have a pragmatic and results-oriented approach to work and see opportunities rather than limitations. You thrive in a changing environment and naturally challenge the status quo.
Professionally, we expect you to have several years of experience with HR business partnering across multiple countries in a large international organization, where you have acquired the following skills and knowledge:
- Ability to put analytical, methodological, and theoretical HR knowledge into practice
- Skilled at facilitating change and process improvements
- Solid knowledge of Danish employment law – some familiarity with employment law in other Nordic markets is an advantage but not a requirement
- Strong communication skills in Danish and English (oral and written)
- Skilled at using digital tools and motivated by using new systems
