In your role as Global HR Business Partner in Ocean & Logistics, you join our Headquarters HR team based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Support to the global functions within Ocean & Logistics is shared across a team of 4 Senior HR Business Partners, and your role is to support one or more of the Global Executive team which includes: Sales & Marketing, Customer Experience, Service & Delivery, Logistics & Services, Ocean & Network, and Operations Execution.
Leading the strategic direction of our Ocean and Logistics business, this leadership team is at the heart of Maersk’s transformation to become the global integrator of container logistics; connecting & simplifying our customers’ supply chains. As their partner and member of the functional leadership team, you will build and develop high performing leaders and teams, leveraging a robust toolbox across engagement, organisational development, performance and talent management.
Reporting to the Head of Headquarters HR, you have the opportunity to develop your toolbox and career by learning from, sparring with and building lasting relationships with diverse and professional colleagues, based in Headquarters and around the world.

As Global HR Business Partner, you are responsible for partnering with executive and senior leaders in Ocean & Logistics to enable our organisation to successfully transform while keeping continued focus on performance. In 2020, organisation is at the top of our business leaders’ agenda – we cannot transform as a company without changing our capabilities, engagement, efficiency, and leadership. This powerful placement of the people agenda provides a once in a career opportunity for the right HRBP to drive change and growth.
The 2020 People agenda in Ocean & Logistics is based on three pillars:
1) Driving a step change in engagement levels through focus and quality leadership
2) Building capabilities in the organisation, particularly related to Logistics & Services, Digital Platforms, and M&A
3) Increasing the capacity of the organisation through focus on effectiveness, org design, and integration
In your role as a strategic Global HR Business partner, you will structure your agenda around the above priorities and:
• Be a credible and thought-provoking partner to executive and senior leaders, to enable their success to set a strategic, global agenda and deliver business results.
• Drive a strategic and forward-thinking talent attraction and growth agenda.
• Cultivate a high performing leadership and team effectiveness culture, in which leaders and teams take ownership for delivery of outcomes through vision, trust, and teamwork.
• Execute on a best-in-class HR Operating model, leveraging standard frameworks to deliver on engagement, performance management, rewards and talent management.
• Be an ambassador for our employees, and commit to ensuring that the Headquarters organisation delivers an exceptional employee experience.
• Actively engage in global Commercial and HR initiatives and projects, ensuring that the people perspective and agenda are woven into our strategy.
You have a high energy level and thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambitions to deliver outstanding results. You are considered inspirational leader and enjoy working with people and building partnerships. You are innovative and take the lead in challenging and role modelling what exceptional HR and HR Business Partnering can be.
You have spent 10-15 years in a strategic, senior HR position in a global matrix organisation with experience as a Senior HR Business Partner, including setting and driving a strategic people agenda, preferably with a global or regional scope.
You bring a hefty HR toolbox and experience within Talent and/or Organisational Development is an advantage.
You excel at influencing executive and senior stakeholders and are able to conceptualise and shape strategy, challenge perceptions and expand points of views, weaving the people agenda into strategies and initiatives and gain buy in.
You have a compelling executive presence, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
You are positive, proactive and collaborative, and see opportunity in creating a cohesive Headquarter and global community. You bring cross-cultural awareness and empathy, and thrive working in an international environment.
You are self-motivated with a high drive, take accountability and execute efficiently and effectively, leveraging standard frameworks with an optimisation mindset and with the pragmatism to find mutually beneficial solutions.
You have incredible resilience and maturity, deal well with change and uncertainty, and can assist others in delivering in such an environment.
You come with a passion for and focus on people leadership, developing and coaching others to grow talent for the organisation.
Experience in partnering for organisations with strong practice in Business Platforms, Product Management, or Logistics is desired, but not required.
BA/BS or equivalent is required; MBA or Masters is an advantage.
Some international travel to be expected.
Fluency in English, written and spoken required.
