We are looking for a global category manager for Intermodal to join our global Logistics and Services category management team in Copenhagen.
As the Category manager for the Maersk Intermodal business you will drive the category strategy through the regional procurement teams.
You will become an integral part of the Logistics and Service category management team and its ability to deliver on our ambitious growth targets.
You will report to the Global Head of L&S Procurement Peter Weinold.

As the global category manager for Intermodal spanning across truck, rail and barge, you will work closely with L&S Product Management in centre to set the category strategy and with a diverse team of procurement professionals across regions and centre to refine and execute on the category strategy.
Key tasks:
• Define, shape and drive category strategy in close alignment with frontline procurement and commercial teams
• Actively contribute to the development and innovation of future L&S Products
• Drive category performance, standards and compliance by defining and monitoring key process and performance indicators
• Lead global Intermodal procurement community, drive community engagement and best practice sharing and adoption
• Drive L&S Supplier Relationship Management framework with procurement owners and sponsors
• Drive digital transformation initiatives
• Establish and roll out industry benchmarks
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree at minimum Bachelor level combined with 4-5 years in a Procurement Leadership Position.
Furthermore you:
• Have experience within Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management & Process Transformation
• Have extensive knowledge of the global Intermodal business
• Have excellent stakeholder management and strong communication skills
• Have a customer and process improvement mindset
• Have successful change management experience and mindset
• Ambassador of company values and leadership behaviors in a visible manner
• Have demonstrated global trade & functional acumen
• Have the ability to exercise impact with or without direct authority
• Have the ability to drive motivation & engagement within a matrix organization
• Have the ability to constructively challenge the status quo
