Maersk Procurement is looking for an experienced Category Manager for the Indirect Category Management, Services team with specific global responsibility to further develop the services categories within Legal and Finance Services.
As Category Manager in Maersk Procurement, you will contribute to developing and implementing procurement and category strategies to support the ongoing transformation to becoming the global integrator of container logistics:

As Category Manager in Indirect Category Management, Services you will be responsible for developing and executing global category strategies for each of your Categories. The Categories under your area of responsibility will include Legal, Tax, Accounting and Transaction (M&A) Advisory services.
You will be responsible for a diverse range of activities, from negotiating and implementing Global Agreements, deep diving into spend data to supporting stakeholders on key deliverables. Most activities will be with-in the frame of your Category Strategy, which you will develop and maintain in agreement with the Head of Indirect Category Management, Services and senior business stakeholders.
You will be located with Maersk Procurement in Copenhagen, where you will join Indirect Procurement, specifically you will be part of the Indirect Category Management, Services team with colleagues in Copenhagen and Mumbai.
As Category Manager in Indirect Category Management you will be responsible for the continued development of your Categories.
You will be responsible for creating transparency to leverage our volumes across Maersk, secure efficient demand management, share best practices and ensure minimum compliance standards. As part of our transformation journey, global functions are being established and you will take part of this ensuring synergies are unlocked, procurement processes are implemented, and external spending is optimized.
Beyond leveraging volume and knowledge with-in Maersk, the Indirect Category Management team is active in Consortia procurement where we, in collaboration with our partners, are exploring joint procurement activities.
Maersk Procurement is on a digitization journey and it is expected you have capacity to drive digitization and challenge status quo where relevant.
You are expected to have a good understanding of supply chain management and Procurement processes.
Furthermore, it will be an advantage to have subject matter understanding with-in Legal and/or finance advisory services.

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with Procurement, Supply Chain Management and ideally have experience from one or more of the categories of responsibility
• Experience with developing and executing Global Category Strategies
• Subject matter understanding (or keep interest to develop) with-in procurement of legal and finance advisory services
• You are a highly result-driven and solution-focused individual with the ability to manage a variety of tasks
• Your strategic and commercial competencies are strong and proven as are your negotiations skills
• It is a prerequisite that you are fluent in English
