Maersk Procurement is looking for an experienced Category Manager for the Indirect Category Management, Services team with specific global responsibility to further develop the services categories within Facility Management and Security.
As Category Manager in Maersk Procurement, you will contribute to developing and implementing procurement and category strategies to support the ongoing transformation to becoming the global integrator of container logistics:

As Category Manager in Indirect Category Management, Services you will be responsible for developing and executing global category strategies for each of your Categories. The Categories under your area of responsibility will include a full range of Facility Management related categories: Cleaning, Catering, Reception, Building Maintenance, Green Maintenance, Waste Management and Security.
You will be responsible for a diverse range of activities, from running global/regional tenders to developing a global framework for sourcing and SRM. Most activities will be with-in the frame of your Category Strategy, which you will develop and maintain in agreement with the Head of Indirect Category Management, Services and senior business stakeholders.
You will be located with Maersk Procurement in Copenhagen, where you will join Indirect Procurement, specifically you will be part of the Indirect Category Management, Services team with colleagues in Copenhagen, Mumbai, and Shanghai.

As Category Manager in Indirect Category Management you will be responsible for the continued development of your Categories.
You will be responsible for creating transparency to leverage our volumes across Maersk, secure efficient demand management, share best practices and ensure minimum compliance standards.
As part of our transformation journey, our Logistics and Services product is in rapid growth and you will take part in this; ensuring synergies are unlocked, procurement processes are developed and implemented, and external spending is optimized.
Beyond leveraging volume and knowledge with-in Maersk, the Indirect Category Management team is active in Consortia procurement where we, in collaboration with our partners, are exploring joint procurement activities.
Maersk Procurement is on a digitization and green procurement journey and it is expected you have capacity to drive digitization and green initiatives and challenge status quo where relevant.
You are expected to have a good understanding of supply chain management and Procurement processes.
Furthermore, it will be an advantage to have subject matter understanding with-in Facility Management and Security.

• You are a highly result-driven and solution-focused individual with the ability to manage a variety of tasks
• Your strategic and commercial competencies are strong and proven as are your negotiations skills
• It is a prerequisite that you are fluent in English
