Are you passionate about green electricity and knowledgeable about onsite renewable energy production? Are you interested in supporting a major organization's energy transition plans and eager to make a difference?

Maersk is currently on a journey to decarbonize our operations and ensure we are consuming only renewable energy in the future. We are currently looking for the right candidate to help put these plans into action, translating our decarbonisation requirements into sourcing strategies and developing renewable energy solutions and partnerships for our warehouses and landside transportation networks across the globe.

We Offer:

As a Global Onsite Renewable Energy Category Manager at Maersk, you will help achieve the company’s scope to emission reduction goals through implementation of renewable energy solutions, developing agreements that will both support our ambitions and drive financial benefits for the company. You will focus on the locations critical to our decarbonisation plans and help create solutions even where they might not be readily available today.

You will be responsible for developing sourcing processes and partnerships to help accelerate the transition. From assessing opportunities to negotiating contracts, you will play a key role in the entire process. You will be able to leverage Maersk's global presence, demand, and processes to secure solutions that will support this critical transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support/lead projects focused on solving our growing need for onsite renewable energy generation and other renewable energy solutions for our warehouses
  • Act as a link between our decarbonisation plans/requirements and sourcing strategies to deliver on the envisioned solutions
  • Manage the internal stakeholder landscape to ensure complex, and often conflicting, goals are delivered
  • Negotiate direct purchase and installation of onsite renewable generation assets and work with developers and strategic partners to implement smart solutions that can accommodate our growth ambitions

Who we are looking for:

Someone with the right experience and key analytical and interpersonal skills to help drive progress on our ambitious decarbonisation plans. Someone with the ability to execute projects from our HQ through strong engagement with local stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Masters degree in engineering, business administration, finance or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in procurement of energy, including direct experience in development of onsite renewable electricity generation solutions
  • Proven track record of negotiation skills with the capability to structure and negotiate agreements that will support our decarbonisation and financial goals
  • Experience with management of a diverse renewable energy portfolio structure
  • Demonstrated experience with onsite renewable generation assets and power purchase agreements
  • Capability to run multiple projects simultaneously in different countries
