Manufacturing and Global Procurement Global Procurement Controls & Infrastructure
Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including coordinating cross-functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management. The category for which the purchaser is needed is Electrical. This area consists of multiple suppliers spread out over the globe with a 3-digit million EUR spend per year.
This position can be based either in Århus, Beijing or Chennai and is related to Cables within Controls & Infrastructure in the Electrical Department- and being part of a global team which consists of employees in Denmark, and Chennai.
Responsibilities
You will join a motivated team with a very high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterised by a very high activity level and a requirement to engage in-, organize and prioritise between multiple different projects. Qualifications
The right candidate can be a newly graduated with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering or hold minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing

- Participate in strategy and roadmap development (Act on behalf of the CMT's towards the category)
- Align internally in the Electrical Category for the Platform Launches (Timelines, forecast, supplier categories etc)
- Early supplier involvement - focusing on complexity reduction, design to cost, standardization, capacity risks
- Perform cross-functional projects across CMT's in the Category
Qualifications
The right candidate can be a newly graduated with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering or hold minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing
- Excellent communication skills including fluent in Danish and English (both orally and in writing)
- Proven record of solid stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication
- Advanced skills within PPT, Excel and Word are required
- SAP Experience is a benefit, but not a requirement
- Experience with mechanical components would be a benefit
