About the department
You will join Clinical Supplies (CS), which is a part of Research and Development (R&D) and is vital in bringing new drugs to market. In CS, we have a unique understanding of the combination of drug development and supply chain management. Our main task is to ensure that trial products are available on time and in the right quality and quantity for all clinical trials conducted by Novo Nordisk. Transparency and in-depth analysis of cost management as well as the ability to provide information needed to develop informed decision making is critical to us.
This position is an excellent opportunity to further develop your career in a market leading global pharmaceutical company. You will be part of a support team with a variety of expertise areas, supporting and collaborating across the global clinical supplies organization.
The position
As purchaser, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Forecast demand on marketed drug products, packaging and filling materials, ancillaries and temperature monitoring devices
- Place orders on above material types
- follow-up on delivery of materials, manage the relation to suppliers regarding complaints and deviations from agreed standard
- maintain the purchase documentation
- category/vendor management of inbound materials e.g ordering policies and safety stock policy
- batch allocation on marketed products
You are also expected to identify better practices and drive process improvements. Proactive communication with our stakeholders and the ability to understand their performance are essential to ensure a coordinated, prioritized and finely executed delivery.
Qualifications
You hold a Master degree in business administration, supply chain management or equivalent. Ideally, you have 0-3 years of experience within procurement, purchasing, sourcing or supply chain management. We welcome applications from newly educated candidates with relevant experience from internships or student jobs.
You are ambitious and persistent in achieving your goals. You can analyse complex information in short periods of time and you have great decision making and problem-solving skills. You enjoy working independently and you are keen to collaborate and communicate with people at all organisational levels. Additionally, you have an interest in IT solutions and solid IT skills especially within data analysis in e.g. Excel. We expect that you are fluent in both Danish and English.
