We are looking for an experienced system engineer with a strong IT-technical background to manage the overall IT systems as system administrator and manage the Desktop Support function.
The CompanyOur customer is a large international industrial group which has subsidiaries in several countries, including Denmark. The IT function is managed and part of group functions but also with local resources to handle local requirements. The Group has embarked upon an upgrading of its current ERP-system and now wants to implement this upgrading in Denmark and Poland. The two countries have so far been using the same installation of the system but will after the upgrading be separated into two separate entities of the new system. To release resources to participate in the upgrading process it has been decided to engage an interim IT Senior System Engineer to the company for a period of 6 months with a possible extension. The company is presently running an old Oracle E-Business Suite and wishes to upgrade to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
The ProjectThe role of the interim IT Engineer will be to the manage the overall IT systems and the Desktop Support.

The CandidateWe are looking for a very experienced and very technically minded IT System Engineer with minimum 5 years of experience as IT system administrator and Desktop Support.
Experience with the following areas is important:

Starting date: As soon as possible
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Location: East Jutland but with flexibility with regard to location of permanent residence.

The following list of responsibilities is:
- Provide support for workstations/PC/thin client issues/requests.
- Monitor IT servers hosted & take actions to resolve for any issues
- Ensure patching of OS, hardware is done as per the industry best practices for Windows Server 2012, 2008, 2016
- Ensure Business continuity process is in place & tested with necessary backup & recovery testing
- Support O365 email & Active Directory with standard operations in alignment with Group IT
- Work with Group IT for implementing various Group IT projects and implementing Global policies
- Maintain monitoring tools relevant for servers, network & firewall.
- Coordinate & manage all providers/vendors relevant to services like Network, firewall, Telephony, WIFI, Routers, Hosting of servers, hardware, etc.,
- Lead the new IT projects like migration, new products, capacity increase, etc.
The CandidateWe are looking for a very experienced and very technically minded IT System Engineer with minimum 5 years of experience as IT system administrator and Desktop Support.
Experience with the following areas is important:
- Operating Systems: Windows 7/10 troubleshooting of all end user issues
- Windows servers: 2008/2012/2016 including all troubleshooting, server build, etc., & patching
- Printer server configurations
- SQL Server 2008/2012/2016 – Basic configuration and server setup knowledge from Infra point of view
- Exchange Server 2012/2016 / Office 365 exposure for basic activities
Personal skillsets:
- Independent with ability to have a helicopter view,
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Ability to make important decisions under pressure.
- Problem-solving skills and time management skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Starting date: As soon as possible
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
