About the team
The Corporate Business Ethics Compliance team is globally responsible for Coloplast’s compliance programme. Our goal is to continuously raise the bar and to emphasize our high business ethical standards.
We are represented all over the globe with local colleagues, and we have a variety of backgrounds and experience. You will be based in our headquarter in Humlebæk, and report to the Chief Compliance Officer.
The job
The Senior Business Ethics Audit and Investigation Manager is a key contributing member of the team. In this position you will contribute to the continuous development of Coloplast’s Business Ethics Compliance programme and operations. This involves partnering with business, managing compliance projects, defining procedures and policies and developing and supporting the implementation and execution of Coloplast’s Business Ethics Compliance initiatives.
Your main stakeholders in the position will be leaders of our subsidiaries and business units all over the world and our Corporate Finance department. Your main responsibility is to manage our Ethics Hotline, conduct investigations, and develop Coloplast’s business ethics compliance controlling, monitoring and auditing programme and for executing the programme in collaboration with stakeholders
You will have the following responsibilities:
• Executing on our business ethics compliance programme by conducting research, audits, and testing of controls
• Conducting, coordinating, and supporting compliance investigations and supporting the development of appropriate responses, including remedial measures
• Preparing investigation mandates and assigning investigations to the appropriate investigator/investigation team
• Further develop and implement a business ethics compliance monitoring programme and support the related day-to-day activities.
• Conduct bribery risk assessments and business ethics compliance reviews and audits, likely to include Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption audits in subs, business units and HQ functions; distributor/vendor compliance audits; transparency reporting reviews; MedTech Europe code compliance audits; etc., and support mitigation and remedial measures
• Prepare Corporate Business Ethics & Compliance reporting to our Audit Committee on audits and compliance risks
• Establish and implement new systems and processes to monitor activities and further our monitoring and auditing program.
Courage and persistence
We expect that you have a M.Sc. in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Auditing or similar. You could however also come from an investigative background from the police or military. In is an advantage if you have five to ten years of auditing, investigation and forensic accounting experience in a corporate environment or in an accounting firm.
Furthermore:
• Understanding of auditing and monitoring methodology and use of various tools to facilitate audit and monitoring process experience
• Working knowledge of data analysis tools is a plus
• Strong analytical and communication skills combined with the skill of formulating strategies and concepts
• Comfortable working and learning both independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in English (verbal and written)
Investigations are internally recognized as an important part of being an ethical and compliant company, but they are still not always welcomed with open arms. You have to to have the courage to stand up for what you believe in. It will also be frustrating at times, so persistence and optimism should be part of your personality traits. And then last, but not least, we will expect the highest level of integrity of you.
The role requires up to 30 travel days per year.
