About the department

Safety Surveillance Biopharm, Diabetes - Insulin & Devices department is a part of Safety Surveillance in Global Safety, and is situated in Bagsværd, Denmark. In Safety Surveillance we are more than 80 highly skilled pharmacovigilance experts with an educational background primarily within life sciences. Safety Surveillance has the global responsibility for signal detection, evaluation, reporting and monitoring of safety concerns for all Novo Nordisk’s products (including medical devices and digital health products) that are currently marketed or under clinical development.

The position

You will play an important role in supporting the organization in building, implementing and maintaining the overall signal management strategy as well as devising optimal methodologies for safety data monitoring from digital health initiatives. You will primarily be responsible for continuous improvement of methods/processes for identification and evaluation of safety signals including implementation of data analysis methodologies. You will also be responsible to making training plans and training on signal management to the new colleagues in Safety Surveillance.

You will liaise with internal stakeholders in Novo Nordisk, participate in cross functional study groups and the Medical & Science Team for digital health activities, and be responsible for providing the input for safety surveillance strategy and support thereof. You will also be responsible for providing input to signal management using external databases and optimize the utilization of external safety databases for safety surveillance support.

Qualifications

You must have a university degree in life sciences preferably supplemented with documented scientific training (e.g. PhD) and you hold solid experience (more than 5 years) within pharmacovigilance and signal management and good understanding of advance data analytics and data evaluation.

Prior experience of working with signal management and data analysis tools as well as external safety databases (e.g. FDA FEARS, EU Eudravigilance, WHO Vigibase etc.) will be an advantage.

Excellent oral and written communication competence in English (company language) is a must.
