We are looking for a highly experienced bRo5 medicinal chemist to help drive our efforts in identifying novel chemical modalities providing oral treatments for people suffering from skin diseases.
In our Medicinal Chemistry team we offer unique challenges for professional and scientific development in state-of-the-art drug discovery facilities, an informal working environment and the chance to integrate into a dynamic team of experienced and enthusiastic drug hunters.
Lead and transform our bRo5 medicinal chemistry activities
As our bRo5 medicinal chemist expert you will:
lead initiatives in identifying novel chemical matter in the bRo5 space and drive progression all the way to selection of clinical candidates. through dedicated cross-functional team work play a leading role in establishing bRo5 chemical modalities (e.g. peptides) as a go-to technology. lead CRO and in-house synthetic chemistry activities according to goals and milestones and encourage focus, motivation and optimal interaction within the team.
The ideal candidate has a proven track recorded in progressing bRo5 compounds to the clinical stage, preferably with oral administration in mind and profound understanding of the impact of the right formulation.
The position will be based in one of our MedChem departments within our Drug Design area, which consist of 4 departments all together: 2 MedChem departments, DMPK, and API Process Research.
Your profile
A proven track record in advancing bRo5 compounds through the drug discovery process incl. interdisciplinary collaborations with formulation and toxicology experts. A minimum of 15 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry is a favoured background.
Furthermore, you must possess:
experience in guiding bRo5 synthetic chemistry efforts. the ability to lead successful bRo5 medicinal chemistry teams by outlining and communicating the strategy embracing different views. good interdisciplinary team working skills and the ability to inspire and motivate people, with a goal oriented and flexible mind-set. the desire and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across disciplines in drug discovery and with external partners. professional fluency in written and spoken English.
