A chance to be part of shaping the LEO biologics CMC area for the future
LEO Pharma has embarked on a growth journey to become the preferred dermatology care partner in the world, dedicated to help people achieve healthy skin. We have an ambitious 2030 strategy, which aims to accelerate our impact in innovative therapeutics while strengthening our established portfolio and our global footprint in medical dermatology. Dermatology is an area of rapid growth and LEO Pharma´s vision is to help people with mild, moderate and severe dermatological diseases across the world. To meet the requirements of an increasing pipeline of biologics projects we are now expanding in the CMC biologics area both in terms of capabilities and capacity. This is why we need you!
Upstream process development and tech transfer of monoclonal antibody processes in a brand-new lab
Your overall focus will be upstream process development and scale-down of existing cell culture processes for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). In close collaboration with up- and downstream colleagues, you will prepare and run down-scaled cell culture processes and in-process analyses in our labs to build better process understanding and for material production for colleagues working with downstream, formulation or analytical method development.
Your primary tasks will be to:
As we are breaking new ground and are part of an R&D organisation, no two days are alike. As such, you must be able to thrive in a dynamic R&D environment and have the drive and entrepreneurial spirit to move things ahead.
+3 years’ experience within upstream biopharmaceutical processes
You have an education as Laboratory Technician or similar with at least 3 years’ experience in upstream biologics processing. Your career has provided you with hands-on experience within cultivation of mammalian cells in bioreactors, bags, and shake flasks as well as supporting technologies, e.g., in-process analyses, media preparation and harvesting. You have worked with and have an interest for new technologies such as automation for high-throughput process development. Knowledge of downstream processing is considered an advantage as you will work closely together with counterparts from neighbouring disciplines.
You are curious by nature and like to try new things, methods, processes etc. You combine strong bench skills with a good sense for documentation to ensure the right quality in your deliverables. As you will work together with multiple people across the LEO organisation, good collaboration skills are of great importance.
Biopharmaceutical Processes – your new team
Your will join seven (today) skilled colleagues covering upstream and downstream competencies. We are a growing team, and our focus is to support drug substance processes for LEO Pharma’s portfolio of biologics. We aim to establish an innovation culture characterised by openness, plenty of room for new ideas, mutual respect and helpfulness – while not forgetting to have a good time together. The department is part of Biologics & Early Development consisting of 55+ highly skilled and dedicated colleagues striving to deliver high quality science to progress our Research and Development projects and to deliver innovative products to patients.
We are here to take ownership, drive, and secure that scientific questions are answered. We are driven by a high level of integrity, science, passion for our work and an open minded, collaborative approach.
Let’s pioneer together
At LEO Pharma, we help people with skin diseases live fulfilling lives by advancing dermatology beyond the skin. We drive dermatology with our knowledge, collaboration and curiosity, and we are at the forefront of science in developing new medicines. For us, pioneering together is about constantly improving and extending what’s possible for each other, our company, and our patients.
