Biopharmaceutical Products are looking for an analytical technician for a two-year position on formulation technologies studies for monoclonal antibody drug products.

Would you like to be part of a ground-breaking project within injectable treatments?

This position is in a front-end innovation project that explores the possibility to solve a major challenge for monoclonal antibody injection medicines by enabling high-concentration formulations. This would allow patients to move from long intravenous infusions at the hospitals to simple subcutaneous injections in their homes. The project is a new collaboration with a start-up company having roots at MIT that has developed a novel formulation technology. You will be part of a cross-functional team that will investigate the developability of this new concept.

This position as an analytical technician provides an exciting opportunity to be a part of building biologics competences within LEO Pharma and facilitate innovative treatments solutions for patients suffering from skin diseases.

Job description

You will be working across our in-house laboratory facilities and be a part of the laboratory team, also some external collaboration with external labs can be expected.

Your main role will be:

  • To implement and maintain analytical equipment.
  • To establish analytical techniques related to monoclonal antibodies in cooperation with analytical scientists.
  • To perform formulation feasibility studies and run analyses on samples, including running short term stability studies.
  • Keep track of documentation, review and contribute to protocol and report writing.
  • To collaborate across the LEO organization and with external partners.


  • Qualifications and experience

    Laboratory technician or similar education with experience in monoclonal antibody analytical method development and testing.

  • You have hands-on experience with laboratory practice and laboratory equipment, technologies for analysis of biological and/or monoclonal antibody drugs.
  • You are familiar with the common techniques used; SE-HPLC, CEX, cIEF and CE-SDS (reduced/non-reduced).


  • As our new colleague you should have a good amount of humour, entrepreneurial spirit and a collaborative mindset. In addition, you are thorough and accurate on the deliverables.
