Job description
Head chef in charge of the daily operations in the kitchen, with staff, menu and orders. You will be running a small team of chefs and comisses.
You will have great opportunities to grow and develop as both a leader and a chef. Together with the owner, you will help us guide the team and restaurant further.
Skills
You need to be ambitious, hard working, economic and precise. You also need to have a minimum of 4 years experience as a chef. Fluent English is a must.
It’s also important that you are humble, and interested in adapting to the restaurant and the team.
Working hours:180 pr. month
Start as soon as possible.
Salary 50 000 – 60 000 NOK (depending on experience)
We can be helpful with fixing accomadition.

Jacob & Gabriel is situated in the centre of Skien, located in Telemark, south east of Norway. Skien is a city in constant growt. We are located close to the seaide and the mountains, with nature close by – at the same time we have a sentral position and are close to the main capital Oslo and Torp airport.
We are a restaurant with 60 seats, and a bar area. We serve set menus and a small a la carte, based on local produce of the season. Our kitchen is mainly influenced by French cuisine, but with both Nordic and continental touch.
We have the districts best wine cellar, and a bar with a good selection of gins. The restaurant has been around since 2010, and is for many, the best restaurant in the area.
We are a young and energetic team, with a lot of different nationalities. We can offer a creative and including environment for the right person.
We have good values and a good position in the town, and are known for many people for pur good quality. But this is changing times. As we see is the situation all over the world. We are currently developing and adjusting to fit the new times. This will be a good timing for you to come in with your set of experience.
We are expanding. The owners are opening a new venue in town, and need someone to help run operations with a steady hand.
