About the unit
You’ll be part of a small communication team responsible for driving leadership communication and internal communication around strategic projects in an R&D unit with 1,000 employees. The Medical Affairs, Regulatory and Safety area (MARS) is responsible for regulatory approvals of our medicines, patient safety as well as scientific communication. 1/3 of our colleagues are in Bangalore, India and 2/3 in Søborg and Bagsværd, Denmark. We are located in Søborg, but our projects and activities have global reach and impact across the Novo Nordisk organisation, including our more than 100 affiliates.
The position
As Communication Advisor you will report to the Global Communication Manager for MARS and join a small team of dedicated communicators. Your key responsibilities will be to deliver creative and high-quality internal communication materials, such as short videos, articles and Yammer/LinkedIn posts, and you will help develop and implement the internal channel strategy across the MARS area. You will advise management groups in MARS on internal communication topics, prepare management presentations and arrange meetings and events. You will also support strategic projects and cultural change in order to create meaning and movement across the organisation.
As part of the job, you will interact with colleagues at all levels in the organisation and across the globe, so stakeholder management is a natural part of the way you work.
Qualifications
You have a master’s degree in communication, journalism, business management or similar and have minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience within internal communication.
You have excellent communication skills, love to write engaging texts and prepare compelling presentations that capture the audience. You are ambitious and dedicated, can handle many tasks simultaneously and work independently in a structured way. You approach tasks with energy and a positive attitude. The job requires a high level of initiative and sense of responsibility as well as a mindset of continuous improvements and innovative thinking.
Experience with Office 365, SharePoint and Yammer coupled with interest in new technologies is a plus. Excellent English language skills are a requirement.
