The department

Project office & IT consist of two teams, Project Office and IT. We handle projects of all sizes and scopes, from small improvements to major implementations of methods, processes, equipment, IT and buildings.

In your new team, you will have 14 dedicated and competent colleagues, with many different backgrounds, some probably quite unlike your own. We share high ambitions, also when it comes to creating a great work environment, and even when we are busy, we take good care of each other.

The job

As our new Project Supporter, you will be responsible for helping our experienced Project Managers and Project Portfolio Manager in ensuring that goals, milestones and success criteria for our projects are accurately described. In collaboration with our finance team, you will also be doing cost controlling on a range of projects.

The job will improve your knowledge of our pharmaceutical organisation and production, utility and infrastructure, and provides you with an opportunity to develop and become a Project Manager in the future. Right now, we suppport an ambitious project that will restructure part of our production setup, but many other types of production-related projects will come our way in the near future. You can expect to be an integral part of these, and build your experience in a truly global organisation.

Together with Project Managers and key project members, you will be creating project plans, resource estimations, cost plans and flows. To obtain the managerial approval of our projects, you will be responsible for creating and executing presentations with a level of detail that allow for adequate strategic analysis.

When a project is approved, you support in providing clarity on responsibilities and expectations in your team. You provide timely and relevant updates on project status for all key stakeholders, reporting and adjusting for any deviations from your plans as you advance the projects. Stakeholder management and change management is key to become a success in this role just as your ability to create awareness and understanding of the importance of project controls is essential.

You will be working with competent people with many different backgrounds, across organisational levels and geography, when you dig into details in the production lines, report your results to top management, or meet the operators that will be affected by your decisions. Your operational base will be at our site in Køge, beautifully located by the bayside.

Qualifications

Preferably, you have an engineering degree within production systems, mechanic, automation, pharmaceutic technology or similar, with at least 2-5 years of relevant experience. If you have worked in a regulated production environment, it will be a clear advantage, making it easier for you to achieve success in the job quickly.

You might have knowledge of pharmaceutical production, but most importantly, you are highly motivated to comprehend and drive projects with stakeholders from many different areas of expertise.

You might have experience with project execution models (PEM), and how to best apply them. Optimally, you know your way around Process challenge and Process justification tools, have a profound understanding of Process Performance Qualification and a good Lean approach.

As Project Supporter, you rely on many personal qualifications and skills to succeed. Your strong communication skills and your empathic approach to people make it easy for you to build trustful relations – both within your team and to all the stakeholders you will be working with, from top management to external suppliers.

Full proficiency in Danish is required for this position, since many of your colleagues will be communicating in Danish, and because some of our documents only have Danish versions. We expect you to be strong in English as well, though.

During the extensive on-boarding programme, we have prepared for you, you will receive adequate training, and a thorough introduction to how we do things in Novo Nordisk Pharmatech. We look forward to making you feel welcome here.
