Are you keen on working with safety data and would you like to be a driving force in developing new methodologies for generating evidence about pregnancy outcomes data? And would you like to be part of one of the most skilled and advanced safety functions in Denmark? Then you may be our new colleague.

About the department

Safety Surveillance is a department within Global Safety and is situated in Bagsværd, Denmark. Global Safety is an organisation of more than 400 highly professional people with a high level of educational background within natural science. Safety Surveillance has the global responsibility for the surveillance of all safety information for Novo Nordisk’s products that are currently marketed or under development worldwide.

About the position

Novo Nordisk is looking for a pharmacoepidemiologist for a post-doc position of two years duration. Novo Nordisk is partner in IMI ConcePTION, a collaborative European research project within the IMI (Innovative Medicines Initiative) program aimed at generating and disseminating evidence on the effects of medicines used in pregnancy and during lactation. Contributing to IMI ConcePTION are members from different medicines manufacturers, medicines agencies, universities, public health organizations and teratology networks.

You will be involved in one or several specific tasks, for example the identification and evaluation of new European data sources for conducting pharmacoepidemiology studies in pregnancy. You will also be involved in the set-up and execution of specific pharmacoepidemiology studies in pregnancy within one or several pre-defined disease and/or therapy areas. Your tasks and responsibilities will be varied and will include input to and review of study designs and analytical methods, literature research and involvement in conduct of pharmacoepidemiology analyses across European databases.

You will get the opportunity both to work independently as well as in teams. Assuming responsibility, clear communication and taking action will be essential parts of your work day.

Qualifications

You hold a university degree in Life Sciences supplemented with a PhD in pharmacoepidemiology. You will bring broad and in-depth understanding of medical concepts, disease processes, data analysis and data evaluation. Specific experience within the pregnancy area as well as experience in working with statistical programming are considered assets. As a person you have high ethical standards, you are responsible, well-organised and a strong communicator. You can work under pressure when needed and able to make independent decisions. You are good at establishing contact, collaborating and communicating with stakeholders internally as well as externally. You are a strong driver and a dedicated team player and enjoy supporting and challenging your colleagues.

You are fluent in English both written and spoken (company language) and an experienced user of MS Office.
