We are seeking a highly engaged and dedicated veterinarian with a passion for animal welfare and ethics as well as flair for IT and data handling skills for the Animal Unit Ga & Bioethics department.

About the department
The department is part of Laboratory Animal Science functional area in R&D Novo Nordisk A/S. The department is organised in 2 teams with a total of 16 employees. You will be part of a team in a highly dynamic and challenging environment, where excellence and flexibility are expected. As the department is transforming to become more digital and data driven you will have the opportunity to being part of setting the future directions of the department.

The department (Animal Unit Ga & Bioethics) is organised within Global Drug Discovery and located in Måløv, Denmark. The area is responsible for housing, care and use of experimental animals as well as being an anchor of bioethics.

The Position
You will be part of a small team of vets and you will in close collaboration with the animal caretakers ensure the welfare of our animals is high. You will support our colleagues in research both with practical and theoretical sparring. You will bridge science and animal welfare ensuring the best data is obtained working closely with our key stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be part of a team of vets coordinating training and you will participate in running in-house courses and initiate meetings prior to study start with scientist, lab techs and animal caretakers. As a member of the veterinarian team in Laboratory Animal Science you are expected to take part in veterinary tasks including a duty roster. Your main workplace will be Ganløse but you will also spent time in Måløv.

The position is for a duration of 2 years.

Qualifications
You hold a degree in Veterinary Medicine and may have an expertise within laboratory animal science, but it is not a requirement. The ideal candidate has flair for IT and data handling skills and has a few years of work experience, but we are also open to newly graduates. You like to analyse, interpret and discuss scientific data with your colleagues and have a drive to take responsibility for your own projects and progress. You are passionate and motivated by varied tasks in a busy but exciting and positive working environment and enjoy implementing new methods as well as ways of working.

You have the capability of undertaking several tasks at the same time combined with a strong ability to ensure follow up. You are a dynamic and engaging performance driver, flexible, open to new ideas, ambitious and able to motivate others. Additionally, you are able to communicate complex content to people with different backgrounds and skills, motivating them follow your ideas and suggestions.
You must be fluent in both Danish and English.
