Fondazione Poliambulanza is looking for a Emergency Medicine Specialist.
Fondazione Poliambulanza is a private non-profit hospital accredited with the Regional Health System in Lombardy.
It is a multi-specialist center with 600 beds, about 90,000 accesses per year to the Emergency Department and four areas of excellence: treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases, orthopedic operations and management of every phase related to childbirth thanks to one of the most modern and advanced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the area.
Fondazione Poliambulanza is a University training center in partnership with Università Cattolica, it has advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies and a fully integrated system of patient management. It has been recognized as a Hospital of Excellence by the Joint Commission International and is certified EMRAM Stage 6 by HIMSS (https://www.himssanalytics.org/emram), for efficiency of IT solutions spent in support of clinical and patient care processes.
Job description
The emergency doctor will be part of a team of doctors with different specialities and will deal with urgent health problems. He/she will be responsible for assessing and managing the patient's problem and, if necessary, discharging the patient within 24 hours.
It is up to the doctor to decide whether the patient is fit for discharge or whether he or she needs further treatment and therefore admission. In this case, the doctor may use the Short Intensive Observation and, when necessary, he may ask for the advice of specialists from other departments, such as surgeons, orthopaedists, neurologists, infectivologists or physiatrists.
There are 6- or 12-hour shifts, with approximately 5/6 nights per month and 2 weekends on call per month.
Profile
Specialisation in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or equivalent specialities with knowledge of diagnostic methods such as ultrasound diagnosis is required.
Additional skills: strong motivation, aptitude for collaboration and teamwork.

Specialization in Respiratory Diseases or Pneumology or equivalent/similar specializations
