Fondazione Poliambulanza is looking for a Pathology Anatomy Specialist.
Fondazione Poliambulanza is a private non-profit hospital accredited with the Regional Health System in Lombardy.
It is a multi-specialist center with 600 beds, about 90,000 accesses per year to the Emergency Department and four areas of excellence: treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases, orthopedic operations and management of every phase related to childbirth thanks to one of the most modern and advanced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the area.
Fondazione Poliambulanza is a University training center in partnership with Università Cattolica, it has advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies and a fully integrated system of patient management. It has been recognized as a Hospital of Excellence by the Joint Commission International and is certified EMRAM Stage 6 by HIMSS (https://www.himssanalytics.org/emram), for efficiency of IT solutions spent in support of clinical and patient care processes.
Job description
The Complex Operative Unit of Pathological Anatomy of Fondazione Poliambulanza provides histological, cytological, molecular and autopsy diagnostic services (diagnostic findings), also offering the service to external structures.
Diagnostic activity is organised in laboratory sectors which operate in an integrated manner:
It is required to carry out histological and cytological diagnostic activities in the various areas of the discipline, as well as managing the reorganisation of the service, with particular attention to interdisciplinary collaboration programmes and the development of the Molecular Biology laboratory.
Areas of particular interest should be hepatobiliopancreatic pathologies, of the gastroenteric tract, of the genito-urinary apparatus and of the female genital apparatus, breast pathology and the field of neuropathology.
The resource will be in charge of the Complex Operative Unit of Pathological Anatomy. You will therefore be responsible for achieving the strategic objectives shared with the company management and will have to coordinate the further professional development of the staff already working in the Unit, which consists of about 10 professionals, motivating them in the growth and development of scientific and research activities.
Essential skills include having worked in contexts with multidisciplinary approaches to patient management, and having developed scientific and research activities, also participating in networks that conduct clinical trials at an international level.
Profile
Only physicians who have specialised in Pathological Anatomy and have at least ten years' professional experience in hospitals that are modernely organised and equipped with advanced technologies will be considered.
Leadership skills, pragmatism, interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and motivate work groups complete the profile.
