Industrialization PLM & Documentation PLM Development
The PLM Development is globally responsible of developing a robust Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) foundation and solution for the Organisation. Together with Group IT, we are setting the strategy and leading the technical implementation of initiatives in collaboration with the Business end-users. These initiatives are aligned, scoped, evaluated and prioritised based on business impact, when entering our business improvement projects.

In recent years Vestas has aligned its Product Data Management (PDM) foundation based on PTC applications and established robust foundation for our Design application from PTC and integrations with other application like SAP.

The key next step for Vestas is building our Internet of Things (IoT) foundation utilising our PDM and 3D CAD for Augmented, Virtual, Mixed Reality (AR, VR, MR) in areas of training, manufacturing, service and marketing.

The department works across the entire value chain and is hence heavily interlinked to turbine development, sales and service providing valuable data analytics transforming innovative technologies and concepts into new products and service offerings.

The PLM Development is a global department with a staff of more than 15 dedicated Specialists in application, design tools, data analytics, AR, VR and IoT, located in Denmark, Portugal and India. Our development initiatives are supported by external application consultants.

As a Specialist you will work closely with the Senior Specialists within PLM Development to realise the IoT & Industry 4.0 Roadmap and be part of executing the strategic objectives throughout Vestas Wind Systems A/S.

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will cover execution of project tasks and roadmap activities (80%), supporting current applications during transition and handover to support (20%), research, development, innovation, and independent training (10%). Concretely, you:

  • Execute key objects and projects within the IoT & Industry 4.0 program
  • Specify requirements for new solutions to be developed by consultants
  • Act as key team member and ensure the successful implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions
  • Ensure solutions are handed over to technical support within our Global IT Organisation after implementation
  • Participate in defining the strategic PLM roadmap at Vestas

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, we would like to see the following requirements met:

  • Preferably you hold a Masters' degree within Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Management and Information Systems, Platform Management or similar relevant to the position
  • Experience with IoT, AR, VR, MR software in general (e.g. Unity, Visual Studio, or comparable)
  • Experience with PLM systems and CAD applications
  • Knowledge or experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems (e.g. Apriso, SAP R3 or S4)
  • Programming skills (e.g. VBA, C Sharp, C++, .NET, JAVA, R, Python, etc)
  • Database skills (e.g. MS SQL, SASS, Oracle, PostSQL, NoSQL)
  • Data exchange skills (e.g. WEB Services, XML and JSON)

Additional information
Primary work location will be in Aarhus N, Denmark, but as you will have colleagues at different locations you may expect some travel activity.
