Power Solutions/ Industrialisation CAD/ Standardisation & Interface Management
As a Vestas 3D Architect, you will have the responsibility of the complete Wind Turbine technical 3D coherence and conformity working with a team of highly skilled designers to provide the methodologies of the future.

Being an expert within CAD, PLM, "Top-Down" design and interface management, you will work collaboratively to ensure all parts of the wind turbine's interface fit negating and misalignments.

Our department is responsible for 80% of all 3D models, so we are looking for a strategic thinker who can identify how we can improve, be more structured, and drive quality and excellence.

Responsibilities
Supporting concept development of the Wind Turbine and modules, you will work to balance cross-functional technical issues and analyse Product Design Structure Matrix (DSM)

Responsibilities are varied but include:

  • VMU (Virtual Mock-up) and VPT (Virtual Prototype)
  • "Packaging" / Placement (Location of components)
  • Hosting of space claim meetings and 3D reviews
  • Restriction & kinematics models
  • Envelops - Volume of Control (VoC), Volume of Activity (VoA)
  • Interface Mapping and Management
  • Interference Detection / Clash analysis

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor/master in relevant areas such as Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aerospace or Automotive
  • Minimum of 8 years' technical leadership experience and change management from a large organisation (small task force, projects or similar)
  • Experience with PTC products such as CREO, PDMLink, ProjectLink etc. would be advantageous
  • Experience with driving and defining strategic initiatives from idea generation to executional projects

Competencies

  • International working experience would be advantageous
  • Experience within standardisation and modularisation
  • Strong communication skills in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong technical CAD knowledge is essential
  • Strategic thinker
