We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Social Media Strategy with a deep understanding of the Chinese social media landscape. This individual will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive social media strategies tailored specifically to the Chinese market. The Director will play a pivotal role in leveraging unique platforms, cultural nuances, and consumer behaviors to effectively engage with our audience and drive brand awareness and growth in China.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Chinese Social Media Strategy: Lead the development and execution of social media strategies that align with the overall marketing and business objectives, leveraging platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and others to drive engagement and brand visibility.
- Stay Abreast of Trends and Platforms: Keep a pulse on the rapidly evolving social media landscape in China, identifying new and emerging platforms, trends, and features, and assessing their potential impact on the brand's social media strategy.
- KOL and Influencer Collaboration: Champion collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and influencers in China, establishing and nurturing relationships to amplify brand reach and engagement.
- Content Strategy and Localization: Create and develop a 'content and creative' team to develop culturally relevant and compelling content tailored for Chinese and Danish audiences, ensuring that messaging resonates effectively with local consumers.
- Performance Analysis and Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate the performance of social media initiatives, utilizing data-driven insights to continually optimize strategies and campaigns.
- Cross-Functional Expansion: Develop the group Marketing, Brand Management, and Customer Insights to ensure alignment and integration of social media strategies with broader business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of strategic leadership in social media, with specific experience in the Chinese market.
- Deep understanding of Chinese social media platforms including WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, etc., and their respective best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in both English and Mandarin preferred.
- Experience in collaborating with KOLs and influencers in the Chinese market.
- Familiarity with Chinese cultural nuances and consumer behaviors.
