Job description
The main challenge in international e-commerce is profitable growth
We need you to help us solve it!
When brands and retailers launch their webshops abroad, it is clear that the marketing challenge is different. Another approach is needed when you go from having a substantial market share and a high brand recognition to a new country, where you are about to get your first customer.
During the last year, we have worked hard to combine the tools and tricks from Growth Hacking with our experience from launching more than 400 webshops in 15 different countries. "Growth Hacking in international e-commerce" is now a service offered to our clients and we are already helping several of them to profitable growth abroad. Now we need a "hands-on" marketing person with energy and ideas, to join our team.
Our new colleague will be working with several well-known brands and retailers. We work in Growth-Hacking teams, adjusted to the specific client and target market, this means you will work with e-commerce specialists and Shop Managers from different countries depending on clients and industry.

What we expect from our next colleague
First of all, we are looking for people with the right attitude and for us, this means that you most days are happy and positive. That you are ready to step up when our customers need you and enjoy the freedom on days where they don’t. The job also requires an interest in e-commerce and a genuine desire to help the clients you work with. On top of that we expect you to have:
- Ideas. This is about testing lots of ideas and we plan on you to generate a lot of them
- "Hands-on" experience with main online marketing tools and channels
- Technical flair and able to set up landing pages, A/B tests and apply tools for engineered marketing
- Google Analytics is under your skin
- Project management skills
- Good communication skills and preferable customer management experience
- Been growing up in one of the Nordic countries and speak and write one of the languages as a native
- English skills on a professional level
This is a full-time position and you will be working from our office in Østerbro, Copenhagen. Here you will find 40 colleagues from 5 different countries all doing a great job helping our customers to succeed abroad.

We help webshops succeed abroad
We help businesses with the initial strategic decisions and localisation of their online shops, to make sure they meet expectations in the new country.
Once the online shop is launched, our local teams are an important part of the daily operations for our customers. We can take care of customer service and shop maintenance in local languages as well as business development, marketing planning and execution.
MakesYouLocal was established in 2010. The idea came from more than 10 years of work in leading Danish online shops, selling in several countries.

Requirements
- A structured approach to idea generation
- Experience with SEM and social media marketing
- Technical flair and experience with campaign setup, landing pages, A/B testing etc.
- Google Analytics experience
- Project management experience
- Speak and write a Nordic language
- English on a professional level
