As a Merchandise Planner in Pandora, you will support the development of the merchandise strategy for each department through analysing historical sales, margin and stock turn performance. You will continually monitor, reforecast and re-plan sales and category performance to ensure that agreed stock turns are met and opportunities for over achievement are identified. Further to this, you will evaluate and approve any proposed changes to plan in the context of sales, profitability and stock levels.
You will be responsible for managing the OTB for your department, in addition to presenting plans, and financial strategies to the Leadership team. Together with the Merchandise Planning Manager you will develop and execute financial plans consisting of sales, inventory, gross margin and GMROI for an assigned category, including SKU level sales and inventory plans and forecasts.
On a daily basis, you will run projects and perform tasks related to:
- Executing product financial strategy for new, core, sell down and clearance merchandise
- Providing financial strategy to determine optimal planogram layout
- Managing the replenishment for all specified product, including monitoring and adjusting variables (stock re-balancing, return-to-vendor projects, and ideal distribution centre inventory levels) to meet store needs and maximise inventory productivity (e.g. targeted in-stock level)
- Ensuring that sufficient quantities of advertised product are in stock on a per store basis
- Identifying risks and opportunities by SKU and work with a cross-functional team to develop strategies that optimise the business
- Collaborating with the Manager on SKU optimisation to maximise sales and minimise duplication of styling
- Setting up model stocks for new SKUs and manage the channel allocation

What is needed to succeed:
We imagine that you have a university education within Economics, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration or Fashion Merchandising. You are a confident communicator, and have excellent presentation skills.
In addition, you have:
- A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and an aptitude to learn technical applications, such as MS Access, Hyperion and APTOS
- Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent financial and analytical skills
- General retail skills and solid commercial acumen
- Strong interpersonal and partnering skills
- Solid experience in merchandise planning within omni channel fashion retail environments
- An entrepreneurial mindset
- Knowledge of planning software
