VP of Marketing


Experienced VP of Marketing with strategic mindset and track record of growing SaaS company.

Mono Solutions is looking for a passionate and dynamic VP of Marketing to join our team in Copenhagen. Mono Solutions, a part of Bauer Media Group, is a fast growing international SaaS company serving hundreds of thousands of customers across 30+ markets. Thus, you will play a pivotal role in a growth organisation with big ambitions.

The ideal candidate has a wide spectrum of marketing experience for both on- and offline activities preferably within an indirect / channel driven sales organization in the SaaS industry. Has worked both strategically and hands on with a strong experience of planning, execution and ongoing optimization to support company growth strategy.

About the job

As VP of marketing you will be responsible for defining the strategic marketing framework to support our growth strategy and create concrete action plans that support the revenue objectives with underlaying budget.

You will be responsible for the continuous growth of Mono Platform user base via our indirect partner channel. Furthermore, you will be responsible for positioning Mono’s successful partner brand into new verticals across Europe and America. The VP of Marketing will be working with the executive management team and report directly to the CCO to secure a successful implementation and execution of our growth strategy.

The overall objectives are to create marketing activities that support the growth of our existing partners and help accelerate their lead generation to increase the demand of our offering and support upselling of core- and adjacent products to their existing customer based. Further support our European and US new sales team to attract new partners with a mix of lead generation activities.

You will work closely with our CPO and COO to properly define, deliver and market product and services that support the needs of the SMBs and continue support our partners ability to monetize and grow their customer base in size and value.

You will manage a team of 4-5 ‘high-paced’ dedicated marketing specialist that are split between partner acquisitions and existing partners. Further a new specialist role that will work entirely on partner enablement with strong focus on our newly launched white label DIY website builder and Mono.net (our direct sales channel in Denmark) that serves as a playground for new ideas to increase conversion.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a marketing strategy and framework to support the entire acquisition funnel for existing partners as well as attracting new
  • Develop Partner Marketing capability to support Sales and Channel goals, including overall program structure, partner targeting support, development and maintenance of partner acquisition tools and content, and the planning, creation, execution and management of joint marketing plans with partners
  • Work with key partners on implementing unique growth strategies focused broadening their funnel and converting more customers
  • Build relationships with key partners and industry analysts to create thought leadership content and initiatives
  • Keep an overview of all marketing activities with an eye for improvement, consistency and efficiency gains (Build-Measure-Learn)
  • Build and manage the marketing budget with initiatives to achieve business goals
  • Define and report on marketing KPIs to management team
  • Lead, challenge and develop marketing team members to be subject matter experts with a strong focus on results and agility

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing roles and proven work experience as a VP of Marketing, Marketing Director or other senior role preferably with channel and partner marketing experience
  • Proven track record of growing a SaaS product company through both traditional and digital marketing
  • Solid knowledge and experience with inbound-, account-based marketing, SEO, PPC & analytics
  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful B2B marketing campaigns
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation software (Salesforce and/or Hubspot is a plus)
  • Proven record of working closely with sales to meet or exceed annual growth targets
  • Self-starter that works with a sense of urgency and purpose
  • Leading by example and experience of leading a small efficient marketing team
  • Driven to succeed and achieve ambitious goals, while being a collaborator and leader
  • Excellent communications skills in English and preferably German
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or relevant field
