Are you an experienced leader within marketing and with the passion to drive the Novo Nordisk home market to the next level with new pipeline innovation? If so, join our marketing team in the Danish affiliate in the fight to give patients a better life through access to best in class products in the continuous fight against Diabetes, Obesity and other chronic conditions.
About the Department
As Director of Marketing you will be part of a leadership team of 7 who are responsible for driving the affiliate strategy and supporting effective execution at a strategic level across the entire business. You will report to the General Manager of the affiliate, which has a headcount of c80 people and is based in Ørestad in the Copenhagen area.
Within Novo Nordisk Denmark Marketing we work collaboratively with our internal stakeholders to ensure we generate and utilise customer and patient insights. This is to drive the development of our commercial strategies including existing products as well as creating opportunities for new product launches coming up.
The Job
You are head of the marketing department consisting of 4 Brand Leads and a Marketing Coordinator team. The Marketing Coordinator team plays a vital role in making sure we are capable of executing our very ambitious educational programme with +800 participants each year. The team lead of the Marketing Coordinator team is reporting to you directly.
Your role is a highly visible one requiring both strategic thinking and the ability to focus into details to ensure successful growth of our business. To succeed you will foster a culture of strong collaboration between marketing and all other affiliate functions covering Medical, Sales, Clinical and Regulatory – this is the only way we can achieve our common goals.
Denmark is the home market for Novo Nordisk, working closely with our colleagues in HQ and across region North West Europe, and as such is always a first to launch country. The forthcoming release of the world’s first oral semaglutide presents an exciting opportunity nearby. In addition, we will see expansion into new therapy areas within our clinical trials together with further digital and device innovation.
We are a unique partner to Danish society in many ways, so there is an expectation to be involved in additional public facing initiatives and events.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Master within life sciences, business or marketing. Ideally with background in pharmaceuticals, devices or another heavily regulated industry, you will most recently have operated in a senior strategic marketing or commercial role, at management team level.
You are curious and willing to challenge the status quo; proactively seeking out ways to improve and innovate using patient and healthcare insights to drive change. Line management skills are essential, and you must have the ability to coach, lead and mentor.
At times, both domestic and international travel will be required so you must be flexible and willing to travel, Fluency in spoken and written English is a pre-requisite.
