About the department
Tresiba® is one of four NGI, launched in +100 markets and serves today more than 2 million people living with diabetes. The global Tresiba® brand is a part of the newly established area, New Generation Insulin Commercial as part of the Diabetes Commercial Unit in Corporate Strategy. The team includes four highly skilled and professional product managers and communication manager – a team with different backgrounds and nationalities. The team is located in Søborg, Copenhagen in Denmark. As Global Marketing Director for Tresiba® you are reporting into the Vice President of NGI Commercial.
The position
As our new Director for Tresiba® your primary responsibility will be linked to our overall ambition to become leaders in the so-called basal segment in of diabetes. The most important tasks of you and your team evolve around creating a brand strategy that enables differentiation vs. an increasing biosimilar competition.
An essential part of your success is connected to identifying growth opportunities in a very competitive market with substantial differences across regions. Accomplishing this, you navigate in the varying needs and conditions which depend not only on regional differences but also on the product life cycle stage in the individual countries. US is today our biggest market but under immense price pressure due to biosimilar competition. EU remains a solid growth driver for Tresiba® but the entrance and acceptance of biosimilars become an increasing challenge. China represent the biggest growth opportunity for the brand and Tresiba® received national reimbursement as of January 2020.
Digital Therapeutics are under development in Novo Nordisk and it is the ambition that one of the first solutions will be an integral part of the Tresiba® offering and first launches are coming up within the next 12-18 months. It will be your responsibility to ensure a flawless DT integration into the established brand and use this value add to revitalise Tresiba® in the markets to launch.
You will ensure excellence in brand management globally by acting as a strategic partner to our key stakeholders worldwide and cross functional cooperation in the individual regions is part of your working approach. As this job requires you to handle stakeholders globally, both internal and external, approximately 20-30 days of travelling is required a year.

Qualifications
You hold a Master's degree within Business Administration, Marketing, Natural Sciences or similar combined with a proven track record of impactful results through marketing disciplines in a global setting. You are an experienced people manager and known to set a clear direction based on challenges and maturity levels in various markets. Directions which at the same time leave opportunity for flexibility in implementation.
Stakeholder management is a natural way of working for you and you thrive with communicating your messages in a way which creates a natural buy-in.
Your toolbox includes multichannel marketing, understanding of life cycle management and experience in competing in a commoditized marked and in how to drive growth with a mature brand. And through your career you have a proven track record with a significant commercial and/or operational role in an affiliate or in a region.
If you bring an innovative mindset, a strong analytical mind and the ability to think in new and creative ways, we will provide you with the setting to create great results.
