The Position As a Senior Director in the Global Diabetes Market Access team, you will be leading a team of global market access professionals responsible for the strategy and pre-launch/launch global activities for the next diabetes product launches. You will head up the ‘Insulins & pipeline’ market access team where you will lead a team of dedicated Market Access and HEOR individuals to deliver the global market access strategies and planning for key launching assets as well as drive deliverables for several future pipeline products. You will ensure strong focus on navigating the payer environment to ensure optimal market access strategies and set a strong direction in order to future our future Diabetes assets. Your main tasks will include:
  • Lead a team of market access and HEOR professionals driving HEOR, market access strategy and payer value communications
  • Lead the global strategy and the pre-launch / launch activities for the next diabetes product launch in Novo Nordisk
  • Represent the market access function into development project teams and key fora’s and drive market access strategy for several future pipeline products
  • Identify payer environment trends and their implications for access strategies within Diabetes
  • Oversees and lead a team of professional to effectively execute market access strategies and achieve departmental and organisational goals
  • You will collaborate with other global functions across the value chain, engage proactively with the broader market access network of stakeholders in Operations to deliver best-in-class Global Access strategies and to provide Global support during the pre-launch and lifecycle management process. Qualifications To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate has:
  • Previous people management
  • Strategic and operational experience from both global and affiliate market access roles
  • Comprehensive market access experience either from a pharmaceutical industry and/or a consultancy company
  • A high degree of business and industry insight, and solid experience with setting the direction and the strategy for your area
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills
  • An academic background in a relevant field (life sciences, economics, public health science, or similar)
  • Fluency in English
  • As a person, you are an excellent communicator, have strong strategic mindset and market access and commercial understanding. You have a high degree of ambition and personal drive. It comes naturally for you to motivate people and building a high performing team. You will guide the team through periods of change and growth, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining productivity. About the Department The Diabetes Market Access department within Novo Nordisk A/S is heading up by the VP of Diabetes Market Access and is a part of the Diabetes Franchise Leadership team who drives the Global market access strategies for our Diabetes portfolio. The department drives market access considerations for the Diabetes Therapeutic Area including brand responsibilities and driving pre-launch and launch activities in close collaboration with regions and affiliates.
