Power Solutions Industrialisation CAD, Standardisation & Interface Mgmt.
You will be part of the CAD, Standardisation & Interface Management department in the Power Solutions business unit. Overall, we are responsible for making virtual digital wind turbine prototypes from standardisation and integration of parts, fitting them together and assembling 3D models to ensure that the turbine can be designed for manufacturing.
This position is strategically placed in the Industrialisation organisation reporting to the Vice President of CAD, Standardisation & Interface Management. You will join an energetic leadership team consisting of the Directors for each of the departments’ underlying areas, who have a joint responsibility for the overall strategy and operational excellence for CAD, Standardisation & Interface Management in Vestas.
You will be leading a dedicated team consisting of a mix of direct reports, consultants and indirect reports with a dotted line to you primarily based in Denmark and India.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build and manage a high performing team
- Budget responsible
- Select, build and retain strong competences in the organisation
- Align department objectives with business strategy
- Drive and improve operational and functional excellence
- Actively identify and involve business stakeholders across business units and functional areas
- Drive alignment across the value chain to secure that the accepted level of product complexity is delivered
- Balance operational tasks with short- and long-term strategy targets
Qualifications
As a minimum you have 8 years of management or project management experience from a large organisation – and some experience within standardisation, modularisation and engineering change management. In addition, you have:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in a relevant area, e.g. Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronic or Automotive, preferably combined with a leadership education
- Minimum 5 years of working experience as Engineer preferably in an international setting. Experience from leading leaders would be advantageous
- Experience from more mature industries such as the automotive industry would be advantageous, and preferably CAD, Top-Down design, automation, scripting experience - at least at an overall level
- Experience within Interface management, PLM and ERP systems is advantageous
- Experience from defining and driving strategic initiatives
- Experience within Virtual Assembly and CAD visualisation is also an advantage
