Siemens Gamesa is looking for an new Proposal Manager to join our Sales and Proposal department in the Onshore market unit (North Europe) who will be part of our team based in Brande, Denmark and involved in the bid and negotiations process from initial customer enquiry to contract signature.Join us if you are passionate about management and negotiations of technical matters in a customer facing role. The job requires you to wear two hats - on the one hand your objective is to offer competitive and sell the projects in a profitable manner and on the other hand you must ensure that we are able to fulfill the technical requirements and manage the project risks in the negotiation and execution phase.
How to contribute to our vision
As a proposal manager you will be the one to develop the most competitive technical solution and scope. Initiate the cost calculations using approved tools to reflect internal cost basis, supplier / subcontractor prices and margins in line with business targets
It will also be one of your responsibilities to review invitations to tenders and specifications to determine customer requirements and understand the project drivers - ensuring that all deliverables are produced in accordance with the tender program by participating in meetings about tender co-ordination, reviews etc.
You will be supporting the Technical Sales Managers in business development activities, e.g. preparation of required pre-qualification documentation / submissions, customer events, and product presentations. During contract negotiations, you willnegotiatine technical contract conditions and completing technical solution packages. Your work will be team based, joining forces with other team members being the Technical Sales Manager, Commercial Sales Manager, Cost Manager and Contract Manager.

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
The ideal candidate preferably has a Bachelors or a Masters or degree in Engineering, Global Business Engineering or similar just as a significant experience with project bidding and negotiation in large-scale organizations would be an asset.
It will be an advantage if you have you have knowledge of and experience from the wind industry.
You need to establish and maintain constructive and collaborative business relationships with all business areas and regional team. We look for a self-motivated person, creative, passionate and able to acclimate into a fast-paced dynamic environment – and capable of multitasking in a complex organization. You should also be an excellent communicator with great people skills and good persuasive ability. The role has a wide range of stakeholders, so resilience and confident networking is key
You need to demonstrate pragmatic judgement, balancing pace, risk and business value to reach decisions which are well informed.
Your English should be of a high standard, both spoken and written. You possess working knowledge of Microsoft office package.
