In Tunnel and Underground Infrastructure, you will become part of COWI's mechanical and electrical section. We are experienced in many types of mechanical and electrical systems within tunnels, bridges and metro stations and we cover the entire lifecycle of a project from idea, concept and design to operation and maintenance.
DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF SPECIALISTS
In this position, you will join our global team of specialists and will be based in our office in Lyngby. Your primary task will be to design and lead different disciplines related to water-based systems such as firefighting, water supply and drainage.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF SPECIALISTS
In this position, you will join our global team of specialists and will be based in our office in Lyngby. Your primary task will be to design and lead different disciplines related to water-based systems such as firefighting, water supply and drainage.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- development of design from concept stage through to detailed design, including construction support
- production of engineering design and detail in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- preparing design calculations, drawings and 3D model input
- perform interface coordination tasks with other disciplines
- writing technical reports and specifications
- checking of reports, calculations and drawings done by other engineers
- developing and implementing design best practices, ensuring design conformance with codes and client requirements

Furthermore, you should have:
- master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar
- +7 years of relevant experience within mechanical systems design
- ability to provide technical sound solutions alone and as a discipline lead
- strong mechanical understanding of water-based systems such as firefighting, water supply and drainage
- experience with hydraulic modelling, steady state and transient analysis calculations
- knowledge on pipe support and stress calculations
- experience with 3D and BIM design
- strong reporting and communication skills in verbal and written form
- ability to communicate effectively in a Scandinavian language can be an advantage
