We are hiring a connectivity expert to support our digital transformation journey within the laboratories of NN. We provide support to laboratory solutions across Novo Nordisk Production Facilities. If you have experience with implementing laboratory solutions, solid knowledge of the various technologies used in the laboratories, and preferably experience within laboratories you could be our future colleague implementing laboratory solutions across Novo Nordisk to support LABs.
About the department
LABs – is a department under Manufacturing IT which is supporting the laboratories with IT solutions across Novo Nordisk Production Facilities. The laboratories have recently embarked on an ambitious journey called QC 4.0. Similarly, to ‘industry 4.0’. We strive to ensure that the NN laboratories are ready for the newest available technologies and prepared for the future. To do so, we need to ensure connectivity of our current instruments and systems and creating the possibility to extract data from these in order to support Line of Business in optimizations and real-time decision making.
The team is located in DK and consist of Subject Matter experts within Laboratory systems and Project Managers. The workplace is primarily in Bagsværd, minimal travel activity can be expected to support activities abroad.
The position
As Connectivity Expert for LABs you will be responsible for supporting connectivity of current laboratory instruments, future instruments and robots, as well as ensuring data collection and data ingestion to current systems or future data lake solutions or similar. Development and operation in position includes:
Develop and implement standard interfaces between laboratory equipment and the Global laboratory systems/data lake
- Specification and implementation of Data acquisition and storage
- Specify and support development of Dash-boards/reporting tools for Line of Business
- Facilitate close dialog with Line of Business to ensure successful implementation of instrument connectivity and business Benefit realization
- Drive technical trouble shooting and implementation of updates
- Drive technical dialog with vendors and Line of Business
- Stay ahead on industry trends and assess new products and technologies e.g IoT
- Understanding network concept topologies e.g. firewalls and cyber security
Qualification
You have a Master’s degree (or similar) within IT and preferably also science background or knowledge. You have a high passion for working in an international environment with a high focus on creating business value for Novo Nordisk Production units worldwide. You have an open mindset and good interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders. You have documented experience with LabVantage/LIMS, Empower or similar laboratory systems. The ideal candidate also has experience with implementing Cloud Based Solutions using Microsoft Azure or AWS. We expect candidates to understand technologies like JAVA, RESTful and JSON.
You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiatives and be innovative. In addition, you bring a healthy sense of humor to your work even when the pressure is on. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.
