As a Senior Project Manager you will be accountable for the design and development of solutions to support the ambitious agenda in Novo Nordisk. You will be engaged in one or more projects, depending on the size and complexity as well as your personal preference.

Experience with IT infrastructure, and/or data solutions is not a must but would be advantageous.

About the department
You will join an ambitious team of experienced Project Managers working on large scale projects across the organisation. Organisationally, the team is anchored in Cross IT, which is part of Digital, Data & IT (formerly Global IT). Cross IT is responsible for developing and managing solutions that benefits users across the whole organisation (modern integrations, intelligent automations, data liberalisation etc). Your colleagues all work on different projects but meet on a regular basis to share experiences as a basis for continued development and best practice implementations. The team is based in Bagsværd, Denmark, but the scope of our projects is global. Business travel is limited but may be expected.

The position
As a Senior Project Manager you will be accountable for the design and development of solutions to support the ambitious agenda in Novo Nordisk. You will be engaged in one or more projects, depending on the size and complexity as well as your personal preference.
Your key responsibilities will centre around:
- Translating business needs into projects and technical solutions
- Setting and managing the project team by leading projects from vision and planning to execution and anchoring
- Securing project governance, budget management, funding and efficient resource management
- Facilitating agile events such as PI planning, daily stand ups and retrospectives
- Managing stakeholders across cultures and at all levels of the organisation
- Vendor management incl. contract management as most of our solutions are developed by external vendors
Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated, and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills & experiences:
- A relevant educational background and proven track record in IT Project Management, preferably in the pharma industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, Product Manager or Product Owner
- Experience with solution design, development and implementation in an agile environment mastering different methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
- Strong ability to plan, prioritize and execute while maintaining an overview in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Outstanding people skills to ensure motivation for diverse global teams and leading by example to raise the bar for yourself and others
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships both internally and in working with external partners
