The position
As Director of Support for Drug Products, you will lead a team of around 8 people focussing on Drug substance who is implementing new products and supporting running production at CMOs (Contract Manufacturing organisations). In GCM we have the responsibility for the production, the facility including all equipment and the Quality Management System (QMS) at the CMO.

You will join a team of experts within the field and you will become the leader of a well-functioning team where we work and solve problems in collaboration. Several of the CMOs we currently work with are in project phases where extra focus is needed.

About the department
Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) is part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organisation. We are responsible for all Novo Nordisk contract manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API’s), intermediates, semi-finished and finished drug products to global markets. Our main office is located in Bagsværd, Denmark.
The primary role of GCM is to implement new projects and production at CMOs and subsequently monitor and control the production handled by CMOs, ensuring delivery of products from the CMOs to our respective customers. Our CMOs are mainly located in Europe and North America. The position is in a production support department, GCM Support, an international team of experienced specialists with a well-documented history in pharmaceutical sciences.

The position
As Director of Support for Drug Products, you will lead a team of around 8 people focussing on Drug substance who is implementing new products and supporting running production at CMOs (Contract Manufacturing organisations). In this position, you will:
- Be responsible for managing and developing the area to support a growing pipeline of projects and CMOs in operation
- Ensure good collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure we bridge the internal requirements for our products and processes with the CMOs QMS and processes
- Join a fantastic team of dedicated colleagues in the management team, who all are working dedicated to bring external capabilities to life.
You will join a team of experts within the field and you will become the leader of a well-functioning team where we work and solve problems in collaboration. Several of the CMOs we currently work with are in project phases where extra focus is needed.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we expect you to have:
- At least a Master degree in pharmaceutical, chemistry, engineering, or any other relevant education
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working with aseptic production or finished product within the pharmaceutical industry and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products
- A proven track record of direct people management
- A fluency in English, both written and spoken.
It would be considered as a plus if you have worked with external manufacturing and maybe at one of the CMOs.
