Do you want to be part of our ambitious journey to digitise and automate the processes in our Pilot factories, where the insulin and GLP-1’s of the future are being developed? Do you have a passion for PLC and SCADA systems? Then this is the position for you.
As our new Automation Responsible you will take part in operation and maintenance of our PLC and SCADA systems in our 6 Pilot factories in Bagsværd and Gentofte, ensuring a stable and efficient operation of the systems. Stable and efficient automation systems are essential for us, in order, to develop and deliver new products to our patients.
The Team
In the IT & Automation team we work with operation and maintenance of automation systems, ensuring stable and efficient operation of our automation systems, keeping the systems in compliance, and ensuring data availability in our 6 Pilot factories. The team currently consists of 19 highly competent automation and data engineers working across different automation and data technologies.
The Position
You will, together with two colleagues, be responsible for our PLC and SCADA based automation systems, which supports the production in our Pilot factories. You will be responsible for keeping the systems operational and in compliance with Novo Nordisk requirements and thereby requirements from health authorities. You will communicate and collaborate closely with many colleagues both internally in the department, but also in our Pilot factories.

We work mainly with the Siemens and Rockwell PLC’s and iFix SCADA technology. It is not a prerequisite that you have experience with these technologies in specific, although it will be an advantage if you do.
Qualifications
You hold a higher education such as B.Sc. or M.Sc. within e.g., automation, electronic or mechanical engineering, alternatively you have acquired a minimum of 5 years relevant automation work experience. You have a great passion for working with automation and technical problem-solving, as an ideal candidate you have:
Our work is performed according to cGMP, hence it is expected that you possess a systematic approach you your tasks and that you a able to plan and finalise your tasks. Furthermore, we emphasised the importance of your capabilities to ensure and initiate tasks, also when they are not being handed to you. - System Management (e.g. User, Configuration, Incident management)
- Troubleshooting on PLC/SCADA systems and associated interfaces and networks
- IT Security management (e.g. implementing patches, anti-malware)
- Life Cycle Management (e.g. system upgrades, hardware upgrades)
And documentation tasks such as:
- Maintaining of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and guidance documents for the systems
- Preparation of Change Requests, Incidents and Deviations
- Asset Management, incl. Life Cycle Management
- Annual User and Configuration Review Reports
We work mainly with the Siemens and Rockwell PLC’s and iFix SCADA technology. It is not a prerequisite that you have experience with these technologies in specific, although it will be an advantage if you do.
Qualifications
You hold a higher education such as B.Sc. or M.Sc. within e.g., automation, electronic or mechanical engineering, alternatively you have acquired a minimum of 5 years relevant automation work experience. You have a great passion for working with automation and technical problem-solving, as an ideal candidate you have:
- Knowledge and experience with Siemens (S7, TIA portal, WinCC) and/or Rockwell (Allen Bradley, RSLogix) systems or equivalent automation systems.
- Knowledge and experience with interfaces (e.g. OPC, Kepware, Ethernet).
- A great passion for supporting end users and deliver great service and support.
- A positive Can-do attitude, together with a drive beyond the usual.
- High spirits and the capability to spread enthusiasm and positive energy to the people around you.
- Great communication- and collaboration skills, which makes you a trusted and well-liked collaborator with our stakeholders.
