The Position
Novo Nordisk continues to invest in enabling new technologies for our manufacturing sites so they can provide high quality products in a sustainable and efficient way for the millions of patients that rely on our products. You will be playing an instrumental role in partnering with the business to bring machine learning to life at our manufacturing sites.You will be working with maturing and developing how we take ML into production, and thereby setting the standard for integrating ML into our processes, organisation, and quality management system. This will be needed for the scaling of ML models (prototype and mature) prepared by the data/ML scientists that will be taken into production on multiple production lines/sites.You will deliver a robust and reliable operation of models, data, software, and hardware and ensure compliance and operational excellence of the supported business process. You will work closely with data scientist, validation lead, developers and process people from line of business and partner with stakeholders across the organization and external partners.You will work with multiple aspects like MLOps infrastructure, model management, deployment, and monitoring of models and how this should be done to live up to requirements and best practices for integrating this into the business process and shopfloor. You will be working in a highly regulated area, with several internal and external stakeholders with a diverse background.As the department is new and growing you will also be part of shaping the department and help identify how we best succeed with enabling and maintaining machine learning and other important data science areas in our global manufacturing processes. This also include assessing the competencies and skills we need to succeed so we can develop the dedicated people in the department, recruit new people and make the right collaboration with externals partners.Qualifications You have a relevant Master´s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development or equivalent.In addition, you have:3+ years with proven experience as lead machine learning engineer or similar role Some years of experience from a regulated industry (manufacturing or IT), preferably Pharma (and GxP) Hands-on experience with design, implementation and operation of scalable machine learning systems and integration into a business process, (preferable in a cloud environment like AWS and/or Azure including edge deployment and computing) i.e., MLOps in practice on preferable an organisational scale Experience with machine learning techniques, such as deep learning preferable with computer vision application such as image classification, segmentation and object detection Proficient in the programming langue Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch and Scikit-learn Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes Experience with software development like CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, IoT/Edge deployment and Edge computing Experience with cloud services from AWS and Azure, such as AWS SageMaker and Azure Machine Learning is an advantage It is an advantage but not a requirement if you have experience with project/product management. As our corporate language is English, we expect you to be fluent both in writing and spoken.As a person you are driven by a high-quality mindset and have an ability to enforce this in a pragmatic way.
